The first ever European Olympic Hopes Championships for the 19-22 aged boxers has been launched on December 11 in the city of Kaliningrad, Russia.

The opening ceremony with the laser show, chorus and young dancers performance, was attended by the Vice-Chairman of Kaliningrad region government, Mr. Alexey Silanov, and the 1st Vice-President of Russian Boxing Federation, Mr. Andrey Danko.

This new competition, which is hosting this week 139 athlets from 31 countries, was declared opened by the Technical Delegate of the Championships and Chairman of EUBC Competitions Commission, Mr. Helmut Ranze.
